I am a conservation biologist with over a decade of field and academic experience, currently a research associate at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. My work is driven by curiosity about evolutionary processes and ecological resilience in island systems, which has led me to study some of the rarest and most critically endangered 🦎 on Earth, from the Turks and Caicos to the Bahamas and the Galapagos.
That intellectual drive is matched by a deep empathy for the species I work to protect, their environment, and the local communities who share their existence. I approach conservation not as an outsider but as a collaborator, listening to local knowledge and integrating it into scientifically rigorous frameworks. Whether leading field crews in remote locations or co-developing proposals with interdisciplinary colleagues, I believe trust, respect, and shared purpose are the foundation of successful conservation.
